HOME BAKED BREAD RECIPE
Home baked bread recipe can be made with six simple ingredients, it's nice whitebaked bread for sounds wiches and it freezes nice.
The favorite way to eat freshly baked bread is with homemade strawberry and raspberry.
The bread recipe contain alot of amazing thing which I might not talk about here, I will highlight the essential part, it only require shelf stable ingredients, (no milk, eggs or butter needs), and it's easy and fool-proof to make, weather you're a newbie or experience breadbaker, am sure you are going to love it.
Ingredients needed
- Warm water: (105-115 degrees)- to activate the yeast.
- Active Dry yeast: Instant or rapid rise yeast can be substituted, following my adaption notes in the recipe card.
- Granulated sugar or honey: the sugar is used to “feed” the yeast and tenderize the bread.
- Salt: to enhance flavor
- Oil: Vegetable or canola oil, or melted butter could be substituted
- Flour: Bread Flour or All-Purpose Flour can both be used with no changes to the recipe. The exact amount of flour used will vary depending on different factors (altitude/humidity etc.). What matters is the texture of the dough. It should be smooth and pull away from the sides of the bowl. It’s important not to add too much flour or your bread will be dense. The dough should be just slightly sticky when touched with a clean finger.
- Pro tips: 1. Use fresh yeast, and to maintain best quality of yeast you have to store it in a refrigerator to avoid damage, if the yeast isn't in good condition it will limit level of the raises.
- 2. To speed up the bread rise time: Make dough upto first rising, placing it in well greased bowl, turning it once to grease the dough all-over, cover bowel with plastic wrap, preheat oven to 180 degrees F, then turn off, place bowl into slightly cracked open, allow to rise until double then remove, punch down and shape into loaves.
- Do I need a breadbaker or standing mixer? The answer is capital NO, No special equipment is required for the white bread recipe, but it will be added advantage and make the process easier if you have standing mixer. Without standing mixer you can make use of your mixing bowl and wooden spoon, and then kneed the dough with your hand. You can also use bread machine with this recipe if you have one but you may need to short the recipe in half to make just a loaves, depending on your machine capacity.
